Gruffalo cake

I've loved this book since I first read it to my niece many years ago so I was thrilled to be finally asked to make a Gruffalo cake for the lovely Jack's first birthday.

80th birthday cake

I was asked to create an 80th birthday cake for a lady who has lived such a rich and full life that there was no one theme that could be used. Instead we decided on something that represented different areas of her life, where she'd lived, her hobbies as well as her profession. Apparently this went down well!

Betty Boop cake

Not one I'd ever thought I might end up doing, but when asked to make a Betty Boop cake this was the result.

Olympics cupcakes

We ran some Olympic activities in the office back in the summer so some cupcakes to accompany them were needed (of course!).

Cinderella castle cake

I created this castle cake for the gorgeous Suri, but had to make sure that Cinderella herself featured too.

Muddy Peppa Pig cake

I was asked to create a Peppa Pig cake for Noah's birthday. The brief was to have Peppa with her family in the mud! Hopefully this did the trick.

Beer keg cake

Mike had his own brand of beer created for his 65th birthday cake.

Moshi Monsters cake

Sian's Moshi Monster is Katsuma so that was the obvious choice for her 7th birthday cake.

Lightsaber cake

At just 6 years old Bodhi is a massive star wars fan so a Lightsaber cake did just the job for his birthday.

Horse cake

Daniel loves his horse Tommy so what better subject matter for his birthday cake.

Mobile phone cake

The perfect theme for a 60th birthday cake for a man that can't keep away from his phone...

20th Anniversary cake

Having met whilst working at the same company, using its logo in a 20th wedding anniversary cake was a lovely addition.

Maple leaf wedding cake

Having spent time in Canada my friends wanted to put an element of this in their wedding cake. They chose the Canadian maple leaf and the ribbons picked out the colour of the bridesmaid dresses.

Batman cake

Na na na na na na na na........ Batman! This was almost going to be a Storm Trooper cake but James had a change of heart (he realised Storm Troopers are scary) so Batman and Robin it was.

Red velvet cakes

Having never made red velvet cake I thought I'd give it a go on two occasions recently. I started with a triple layered version (delicious) and then experimented with cupcakes too. I'm please to report both were bloomin' lovely - especially with the meringue style frosting!

50th birthday book cake

Russell recently celebrated his 50th birthday and as he's in the process of writing a book his colleagues thought this would make a great theme for his cake.

Despicable Me cake

'Despicable Me' became 'Despicable Jamie' for the benefit of a certain little man's 2nd birthday. He was particularly keen on the Minions!

Seaside cupcakes

My cousin was enjoying a day out with the girls at the seaside and thought she'd ask me to make some appropriate cupcakes to indulge in while they were there

Nemo (finally)

After all the childrens cakes I've created over the past couple of years, I was finally asked to create a Nemo cake for little Poppy. Love the film and loved making this!

2011 Rotherfield fayre

I had great fun at the Rotherfield fayre again back in November. I even had someone helping out (I think my Mum wanted to play shop keeper!). Pops was pretty helpful too - taking a dash home to pick up supplies I'd managed to leave behind!

Farm cake take 2

Ever since I did a farm cake for my niece I've wanted to do another one and I finally got the chance for Isabella's 1st birthday. The only additional request was for a black dog to feature somewhere as her grandparents have 3 that she loves.

Halloween again

Jamie & his friends had a Halloween party again this year so I put some more cupcakes together for them (& the mum's!)

Mario cake

I've wanted to do a Mario cake for ages and as Ollie is a fan I finally had an excuse for his 8th birthday.

Baby boy cupcakes

My cousin & his wife welcomed their new baby Jack to the world in September so I popped round with these for them to munch on.

Wonky cake

I was asked to do my first Wonky cake in September for Dawn's 50th birthday. I loved the red & white theme too.

Tangled birthday cake

Tiana is a big fan of all the Disney princesses and loves the film 'Tangled' so this was the perfect choice for her 4th birthday.

Fresh roses wedding cake

Fresh red roses, 4 flavours of cake and sugar pearls were called for on this wedding cake for Lisa & Bob's Brighton nuptials.

Snowboarding wedding cake

Tim and Lucy wanted something a bit different, but they still wanted their cake to resemble a wedding cake when they got married in September. They settled on a snowboarding theme. My brief was 'include as much comedy as possible' and 'I like seeing skiers on their faces'.

Christening cake

It was Oscar's Christening this weekend and I had the honour of making his cake for the lovely garden party afterwards (and matching cupcakes!)

Jungle cake

I've wanted to do one of these for ages so when my favourite Godson turned 1 it seemed like a brilliant excuse! I loved making the monkey with his banana and the snake in the tree. The other kids at the party seemed to enjoy it too ;0)

Minnie Mouse relaxing cake

Last year it was the Fairy Forest for Suri. For her 2nd birthday this year it was Minnie Mouse. I wonder what next year will bring her...

Christening cupcakes

I believe these cupcakes were a gift from the 'to be' Godmother this weekend. The pretty pinks, white & glitter made a good combination for these.

Train 1st birthday cake

For Noah's 1st birthday we thought a train would make a lovely cake. I'm sure the other children were pleased to see the train delivering smarties to the party too!

Birthday cake pops

Isy wanted cake pops for her 40th, so cake pops she got!

Hello Kitty cake

I'd never done a Hello Kitty cake before so I was really pleased to be asked to make this one for Sian's 6th birthday.
